The Holy Grail-First Appearance of Wolverine

This is the Holy Grail of the Silver Age in Marvel Comics: The Incredible Hulk#181, first appearance of Wolverine. A class issue dating back to 1974, Wolverine makes his Marvel Comic debut in the pages of  Hulk. Written by Len Weir and drawn by Herb Trimpe, this instant classic is pretty much the Holy Grail for most Marvel Comics’ collectors. Not only does this issue introduce the character Wolverine, but depicts a legendary battle between Hulk, Wolverine, and Wendigo.

A high graded copy of The Incredible Hulk #181 can fetch between $900- 1,500. I want one.

Who’d’a’thunk that Herb Trimpe had the first try at drawing that wiley Canuck? What a weird issue for Wolverine to debut in!

yeah alittle weird, but at least he made the cut, and now he’s huge! I don’t think they thought he would be a character that would be loved as much as he has in the last twenty years.
